Principal’s Message

Welcome to the official website of Lindsay Girls’ School, Colombo 03.

Since our founding on September 2, 1900, by Rev. Fr. Samuel Lindsay, our school has grown into a leading Western Province institution of over 1,500 students and 80 dedicated staff. We proudly foster a multi-ethnic, multi-religious community where Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim, Burgher, Ja, and Malay students thrive together in harmony.

Offering education from Grade 1 to 13—including English-medium bilingual classes from Grade 6 and six language options at Advanced Level—we focus on academic excellence and character building. Guided by our motto to move “Onward and Upward,” we are committed to nurturing confident, well-rounded young women ready to excel as global citizens.
